This LMLK handle fragment (#1142-1) with a Type Z4CY impression was excavated by A.F. Rainey at Beersheba along with a fragment of a giant pithos jar in Room 311 of the city gate in Stratum 2. Other, more complete pithoi were excavated nearby (without impressions) & the sample line drawing is of one of them (#1506-1). The estimated volume is 112.5 litres.
