Description by Michael Welch: #83 One-half to two-thirds jar handle with a small amount of jar pottery remaining on the bottom. Pottery color is brownish with white grits throughout, reddish pink shows through where chipped; it also has a black core, some encrustations and iron stain. There is a fingerprint indentation, possibly left by the Royal Official doing the sealing at the base of the handle on the front side. On the bottom side, there is a fingerprint indentation, possibly left by the potter. Bears probably a type M2D three stamped impression. Out of LMLK on the top, most of the Lameds and Mem remain (out of the multiple stampings), with a part of the Kaph remaining. Out of MMST on the bottom, most of the two Mems remain. Around half of the two-winged sun disc emblem remains. There is an old black ink # 43 from a previous collection on the bottom.
