Description by Michael Welch:  #97 Around one-fourth of a jar handle with a very small amount of jar pottery connected. Pottery color is blackish with white grits throughout. Bears an H4L impression. Out of LMLK on the top, nothing remains because that area was broken off in ancient times. Out of HBRN on the bottom, the Heth is pretty clear but runs together a little bit; the Beth, Resh, and Nun are very clear. Out of the four-winged scarab emblem, around two-thirds remains. Wet smoothing marks remain around the oval. There is a smudged fingerprint on the center of the scarab, probably from the Royal Official doing the sealing. The top left hand corner of the handle has been broken off recently, probably from a larger piece of jar pottery. There is a brownish gray patinae over the pottery; a few almost hollow cracks in the middle of the handle; and a few smudgy fingerprints and finger indentations on the underside of the handle, possibly made by the potters when creating the jar.

Formerly in the Gil Chaya collection (#Hebron2; LMLK Dotcom ID# 019).
