Description by Michael Welch: #98 Around one-fourth jar handle. Pottery color is beigish with white grits throughout and a blackish grey core. Bears a H4C impression. Out of LMLK nothing remains or was probably stamped because the clay was too hard. Out of HBRN on the bottom, a tiny trace of the Heth remains; most of the Beth, Resh, and Nun remain. Out of the four-winged scarab emblem, a trace of the lower right wing on the inside and a tiny trace of the lower middle remains. A modern chip shows that the original slip color was probably red-brick. The right top side of the handle is pinched and deformed, perhaps by the Royal Official doing the stamping or the potters making the jars.
